Give1Save1
A few weeks ago I was contacted by Beth of give1save1. She was interested in helping us raise money for our adoption. I was all ears! Beth is a believer with a passion for helping orphans find their forever families. Her family is also raising money for their Ethiopian adoption, so we have that in common! Each Monday on her site, she features a new fundraising family. The idea is basically that if each person gives $1, it will bring these sweet children one step closer to coming home. $1 really can make a difference!
I feel so fortunate that we were the family chosen this week! THANK YOU Beth for contacting me! I plan to give $1 each week. I mean, who of us really doesn't have $1 to spare? Head over to give1save1 to give your dollar. It's amazing what happens when people come together!
A BIG thank you to those of you who have already given $1 without ever meeting us! It blows me away. So thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Friday Finds
Back to School Love!
Now that school is back in session for most of us, I thought it would be fun to round up a few of my Back to School etsy finds! I just love the beginning of a new school year! It reminds me of my favorite line from one of my favorite movies, You've Got Mail... "I'd send you a boquet of freshly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address." Ahhh, what a great movie. I would love a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils.
Do you like school supplies and the excitement of going back to school as much as I do? Happy Friday Wayman Family Nesters!

Debbie Downer Kinda Day
Let me just start by apologizing for the Debbie Downer tone of this post. I just wanna be real!
The adoption process is not always roses. It is very much like a roller coaster ride filled with constant ups and downs. And the last couple of days I've been feeling down. I pray for patience with my students every single day on my way to work. I need to pray for patience in our adoption process more often.
It's so hard when people ask when we'll have our sweet boy home and I honestly have no idea! I know that God has a plan for our family, but it's so hard to remember when your heart is aching for a child you've never met. I will continue to pray for patience during this process, but deep down I know that my heart won't be whole until we've got our little boy home.
Do any of you fellow adoptive mamas have tips on passing the time during the process? Thank you in advance!
I'll leave you with one of my favorite Debbie Downer SNL skits to lighten the mood for today!

Free the Nations Love!
I was so excited when Sarah contacted me about her awesome new website called "Free the Nations." They are focused on fashionable fair trade jewelry.
Here's a little bit about Free the Nations from their website:
Our Vision: To empower impoverished communities around the world with sustainable economic solutions that foster both collective and individual growth.
Our Mission: To give individuals opportunities to help eradicate extreme poverty and human exploitation around the world through fashion.
Our Philosophy: Free the Nations is a fashion movement—an ideology that your purchase can make a difference in someone’s life. We believe it is possible that fashion can not only make you feel good about yourself, but also bring freedom to others from poverty, disease, slavery, and exploitation.
Here's a few of my favorites:

Summer Fun With the Boys
As summer has come to an end for me (I am back to school today!), I've been thinking about how much fun I've had keeping my adorable nephews one day a week. I am excited to start a new school year, but I will miss these little guys so much! Here are a few pictures of some of our silly, fun summer days!
We tried to take a group shot on Aunt Jennifer's iPhone.
We ate LOTS of Sweet CeCe's!
We wore underwear over our diaper AND on our head!
We ate at Firehouse Subs.
We wore make-up and liked it a lot! (Don't tell his Daddy!)
We played on Aunt Jennifer's iPad.
We laughed a lot!
We were silly a lot!
We visited Aunt Jennifer's school.
We loved on each other.
That's a brief glimpse into our summer fun! Hope your summer was as fun as ours! Love you Jack and Knox!
P.S. If you are Misty and were one of our winners from the Gus and Lula giveaway, please leave me your e-mail address in a comment. Otherwise, I will have to pick another winner. : (
